Title: Hearts

Pairing: Teenage!Snape, Teenage!Lily
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Summary: Snape and Lily playing cards

Notes: Snape just lost and - oh surprise - is not a graceful loser, but that is okay since Lily is not a good winner either.

Some time ago a friend taught me how to play the card game 'hearts'. And being the sucker for bad puns that I am, there was, of course, no other logical conclusion to that then to have Snape and Lily play it.

	Thank you. I am glad you like it! ~~ask my chat friends, I probably annoyed the hell out of htem asking them if it is 'better' now~~ I had to hard time getting them to look youngish. Snape in particular. I think I drew his face at least 5 times. He always ended up looking middle aged. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	And don't you get the feeling that this is the only person in his entire life that he'd allow to laugh at his losing. That alone makes this more poignant than funny. 	I am pretty sure you are right about Lily being the only person whom he would suffer laughing at him without there being crucio involved if he could help it. Cheers, I really rather like him ugly/awkward. That is part of his charme. I don't see the need to prettify him. If I want to draw/write pretty I choose Sirius or ~~Lockhart~~ Draco ;-P (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Isn't he just! snuggles Sev :D the grass was done in less than 10 sec :-P ~~the rest took 3 days~~ Even though I am getting better at it it still takes ages. I used more than 80 layers on this one, which, I am guessing, is a tad much. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I tend to do the pic one piece/part at a time i.e. first the head then the shirt etc. Having redone Snape's face several times also jacked up the count ;-P (Reply to this) (Parent)

OMG! You have so captured that summertime-teen look with the grass, their expressions. For some reason, I'm captivated by Severus' shirt--it is so working-class, kind of plebian, in a way that I'm sure he would soon want to distance himself from. Your Lily reminds me of a young girl I once knew, really bright, fun-loving, and loyal..... I really like her smile--it's sorta abstract, but really brilliant (I suck at describing art, sorry!) Anyway, this was all to say that I really like your picture!

	Thank you! Glad you like it. I was trying for 'Dad's old shirt' for Severus, since I doubt he got new stuff from his parents at any rate. Snuggles him I still don't have a good grasp on Lily, I have hardly ever drawn or written her, but she always reminded me of a friend I had in school, not red-haired, though, but there might be a smidgen of a resemblance.
